What are you working on today?

Scooter got a look over. Only a 2020 but had 100 miles when I got it last October, 1550 now. Changed the plug to a Iridium, battery mount and both terminals were loose.. 2nd scoot almost lost a battery. Checked the belt and cleaned the CVT filter that was almost plugged. Went ahead tore the dash apart and flushed the brake fluid, probably a waste but at least I know the condition now.

RV wise.. Put a fender guard back on the passenger side. Changed the faucet and drilled a hole for the sprayer. Found all the brackets missing for the sink.. yah another task. Going to measure and order another bathroom sink and faucet here a bit.

Installed a new center link and idler arm on the Caddy to correct a ton of steering slop, along with a custom transmission kickdown switch I ordered from the 'Bay. I ended up getting probably the OLDEST center link left in the warehouse, a Made in USA TRW that looked like it had 30 years of dust on the box. Regardless, I'll take a US-made part any day, especially for the $9.14 closeout price I paid RA for the privilege.

The original kickdown switch was MIA, and wouldn't have worked with the current Edelbrock carb due to a completely different linkage setup. This little fellow bolts to the right rear carb mounting stud with an aluminum bracket, and the switch itself is mounted on slots for a ton of adjustability. The idea is under full throttle, the lever for the secondaries swings up and closes the switch, activating the kickdown solenoid inside the transmission. Works a treat for $30!

Watched Doc Harley show me how to remove my Sportsters carb and remove fuel inlet and how to replace it....it was easy , but witout his video I would not have at done it...maybe. 50 bucks in parts, Im guessing the Harley dealership would have charged 300 bucks

Painted my dining room the last few days. First the ceiling then back wall one color two coats and then the three remaining walls a complimentary color. And then today I took the day off and took the family to the beach.

No light duty civilian diesel truck uses 24V, The batteries are wired Parallel....Same voltage, Twice the Amps.
right.

i suppose the "heavy duty" non civilian version uses 24 for starting only.

thinking abot a 12v conversion if something ever fails
