What are the worst tires you've used?

Hankooks that came on 2015 Explorer - horrible on wet roads - at the curb by 10k and replaced with Goodyear GT-II that were far better …

Yokohama Avid on a Geo Prizm. Had a sort of diagonal tread pattern that would slip on anything but clean dry pavement. Only set of tires I ever got rid of right away.

Kumho OEM tires on the 2011 Sportage I drove for a while and the 2013 Sorento that preceded my CX5.

Downright dangerous in even light snow and not much better in wet conditions.

In the old days it was General, even after Continental purchased them. I had two different sets of them on two different vehicles back to back where every single one of them failed. Tires NEVER fail at an opportune time! I swore that I would never again buy a General tire.

Kuhmo Solus KR21s. Grant they were in 175/70/13s so maybe it was the size or the car but disappointing wet traction and premature wear versus the warranty.

Dealer installed brand new Kelly Edge A/s on used 2015 Pilot. They lasted 20k and were terrible in snow.

The replacement CrossClimate2 are barely worn with 20k.

The OEM tires that came on my Elantra. They were the Nexen AH8 tires. Loud, terrible wet traction, and only average dry traction. Just awful.

2 sets that were horrible.

Michelin HydroEdge on a 2004 VW Beetle TDI. They wore like iron but were insanely loud, and one of them cupped. I'm not convinced it was a suspension problem, they were rotated religiously and the other one on that side (directional tires) was fine. It was actually a replacement tire a year newer than the others as the previous one had some road hazard damage. Just a bad batch but they were all horribly loud.

Had a set last year of Milestar MS932 on the '07 Sonata that were also insanely loud. I think it too had a defective tire out of the bunch but I couldn't take it after like 2 weeks I put a set of Walmart Kumho's on it that I couldn't be happier with.

The Goodyear Wrangler LS (I think that is the name) that came OEM on a new 2008 Silverado 4wd were the worst traction tires I have ever driven on. Just the suggestion of slightly damp road from dew and they would spin and slide relentlessly. Same for the front tires. After 500 miles, I traded them in at my local tire shop. I've never owned a Goodyear tire other than those.

I went to Cooper land a couple of times and not at the bottom. I won't be going there again.

I had some "Solar" brand all-seasons on a Dodge Spirit I did a head gasket job on. Drove in the slush, thought it was ice. Called my wife at work saying be careful out there, she got home, said it was fine. Took my other car, it was fine.

The OEM Michelins that came on my 2003 Accord.

About halfway into their life, something happened inside one of them and caused the tire to eat itself from the inside out. When we pulled the tire off there were little beads of rubber rolling around inside the tire. Leading up to that, it had enough drag on that tire to cause the centering of the steering wheel to be off.

Terrible traction as well, but they were really good in the rain as I recall.
