What adapter do I need between a drum of R1234yf and a R134a charging hose?

If the systems oils are not compatible, then you do not want to contamanitate the 1234yf system with ANY oil in your old manifold.

I don't know if the oils are not compatible, but from things I've heard in the past, I suspect they are not.

Even worse are AC systems of hybrid vehicles. Those have high voltage motor windings that get exposed to the refrigerant and it's oil. That oil is very special and has extremely great ability to not conduct electricity, and not damage the windings of those high voltage electric motors. Those systems demand a dedicated charging system so the oil does not get contaminated.

Bottom line, I thing a new set of gauges dedicated to that refrigerant is the way to go.

I found a box of adapters I forgot I had bought some time ago. These two have the correct threads. Any reason to use one over the other?
