This would be the ultimate pet for me (no, not the food he's about to eat).
I would let him have all the freedom he wanted around the house.

I would if l actually had that one. It takes awhile for one to get to that size. Rabbits would be a snack for him. My Red Tail Boa was 9' and ate 2 rabbits a month. And, he probably thought he was under fed.Ya beautiful or not you can keep your snake.
Ball Pythons don't get too long. Mine grew to just under 3'. And he was the same as yours, great personality. When it was feeding time, I knew not to be in his strike range. Not a great feeding response. I had a beautiful captive-bred Ball Python growing up. Super sweet personality. If there was too much excitement he just rolled into a ball and hid his head in the middle. Never a hint of aggression towards any humans but when he smelled food it was a light switch and he'd strike at anything that moved and he always coiled and squeezed.
Same here, I usually see a dozen or so garter's a year just mowing but not a one this year. While we don`t like snakes here it is a little disconcerting that we haven`t seen any this year for the first time in the 54 years we have lived here. Not even a garter.
once I started spraying monthly for fleas - maybe that broke the pattern - have not seen a Cottonmouth in 3 yearsSame here, I usually see a dozen or so garter's a year just mowing but not a one this year.
I think part of it is we have the outside of our house/garage sprayed for bugs so they have moved on looking for food.
