Dont feel bad.

If it makes you feel any better...if I drove a ****** beater, I'd have more money to put into my house. Either you drive an old car you hate, or you treat yourself to a new one and end up regretting it in some way (unless you have unlimited financial resources).

I don't see why not. There is a certain wisdom to driving a COB.

Another 10 years and my 11.5 year old truck will be one.

OMG....brave man driving a Vette on ice. I grew up in Wyoming, so driving on that **** is like second nature to me....but I shy away from light rwd cars with super-wide tires if ice is on the menu.

Not all that brave, the road 100 feet behind the car was wet with no ice. I checked conditions before I crossed the pass and approached dark colored roadway with great care.

I did play around in the empty parking lot a bit before I left. That was fun. I was suprised at how controllable it was, even though the traction sucked. It helped that the parking lot was flat.

Hey guys I am really having a hard time figuring out how to post a pic. I opened a snapfish account but I still dont know how. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Chad

Here's my DD -- used for work commute and taking the kiddie to school. I bought it new in Dec 05:

Yeah -- I know: I need to lower it, buy some 18" shoes, shave the moldings, etc. Ooops -- wrong Forum!

Is that picture a composite?

No, it's not a composite. I drove the car into Canyonlands National Park. The wet stuff is a puddle. My car has the tank on the passenger side. The color and contrast range is horrible, because I scanned the 35 mm negative with a scanner not suitable for that purpose.

I'm not a snapfish member and I see the picture just fine.

I though it was real because if you had done a fake job it would have been more outlandish.

It does look like your car is superimposed on a big poster but the low quality neg scan 'splains that.

If I'm not too lazy I'll use my other scanner. That scanner is currently not set up, but I'll need it anyway.

BUDSHAD, I think this is the correct link to your picture:

Although I believe you need to agree to Snapfish's site terms and conditions before you can view any of the images posted there. If you can't see the image I linked, that's probably why.
