Weight of Landscaping Rocks

Hi, I am having the landscaping rocks redone in my yard. I will need 15 tons of rock for the project total. It's fist sized river rock. I am wondering about how much weight can be put on my yard without the ground sinking.
I may have to have the rock delivered two or three weeks prior to work actually starting, I've got approximately a 15 x 15' area in my yard where the rock can be delivered. Would 15 tons of weight cause the ground to sink and cause significant damage?

I would be concerned of throwing the Earth out of its orbit.

lay down some fabric membrane material first, check with a landscape supplier for this and further advise.

The dumptruck will leave ruts if that's what your asking. 15 tons is 1 load.

That only works out to about a 1 psi load on the ground. Your dog exerts a higher psi loading than that where it steps.
If that area is where the septic tank is located however, all bets are off.

Don't be silly, earth is flat and doesn't have an orbit. Now if he lived close to the edge it could tilt or flip the earth. We'd all fall off.

it will be fine, but the grass will be dead. Aerate the soil after if you are concerned.
