Weekly wash + wax (Meguiars Ultimate Liquid)

I have a REALLY hard time believing any liquid could work like a true clay bar.

I would be cautious of claying too much, no matter how well you do it there is some marring of the surface. If you keep your car waxed there should be little need for frequent use of a clay bar.

I would strongly recommend a DA polish to anyone, the results are stunning. If you have used the brushes at the car wash a 4 step would give you great results as well.

Well, try it then!

I blew the guy away when I used SCG's Beyond Clay on his SL 600.

Do you occasionally, or at first, use a Clay Bar, a Polish, or Surf City Garage's "Beyond Clay" before the waax?



I have only used a clay bar once, and I dont have any plans to use one again any time soon. It seemed like lots of work for little reward. My car gets a SPRAY wax after every other wash at least, and a full application of liquid wax at least every 3 months. This combined with weekly washings seem to keep contaminants to a minimum so claying isn't as necessary. To answer your other question, no I have never used a polish due to the fact that I have only clayed once. Ill have to look into that "beyond clay" product, it is easier to use? If so I might be interested.

I think it only took me about 20 min to clay an Accord using a Nanoskin product. Regular clay is obviously going to be a lot more tedious.
