Edit: We lived in the Belwood neighborhood before leaving the area. We even had own our private neighborhood swim club. Lots of good times in those days.
Edit 2: Up and over Hicks Road via Old Almaden was my after work, before dinner bike ride back then. Hicks Road was WORK! I broke 50 mph once, racing down past the dam towards Camden Ave. To this day the thought of doing that on that road makes me cringe. Hicks was narrow and twisty, but my appendages were much bigger back then.

I think we were warned last year that we are going to have a hor summer and further risks of forest fires. I wonder how many climate changes we need because we have had a cool summer with plenty of precipitation. I signed up for global warming years ago but am still waiting....

All media is pushing an agenda. Anything that is outside the norm strengthens the case for man made climate change. I only use my phone app or weather underground for the forecast.

They may be underestimating the intelligence of the public or if they repeat a falsehood enough it becomes the truth.
Most of those locations are way out of spec for a 'official' weather reporting station too. Too close to hard surfaces usually.
We (Canada) went over to SI in the 1970s. I learned to convert the "new" temperatures (C to F), like this:
Multiply the C temperature x 2, subtract 10%, and add 32.
E.g. What's 12 C in F?
12 x 2 = 24
24 - 2.4 = 21.6
21.6 + 32 = 53.6 (round up to 54).
On the negative side (i.e. below 0 C), switch the signs accordingly:
E.g. What's -24 C in F?
-24 x 2 = -48
-48 + 4.8 = -43.2
-43.2 + 32 = -11.2
