I grew up here...

Dickinson, North Dakota:

The highest recorded temperature was 114°F

The lowest recorded temperature was -47°F

(taken from the weather.com)

113 record high 16F record low

I the nearly 7 years I have lived here, extremes have been a high of 109F and a low of 30F.

Average July high is 91F, Average Jan low is 38F.

Data is from MSN weather and is probably a merge of nearby towns data because our town didn't have official weather data until about 6 years ago.

110 degrees F 8/21/1983. Also the record high for the entire state.

Couldn't find the exact low for my town, but I remember reading it was around -12 degrees or so.

my town is positively balmy compared to you guys... it hasn't frozen here for the whole length of the record, which is about 40 years... doubt that it would have in the last 500! we are at 28 degrees latitude - same as mexico, south texas and florida...

+30F to +100F

The extremes don't happen all that often. It's rarely below 40F or above 95F (but it does happen)
