I was always really impressed with Schaeffer's products but where do I buy 1 tube... a case is about 3 lifetimes worth for me.

Look at the water washout rating. Usually ASTM D-1264: "Water Washout @ 79°C (175°F), loss, weight %"

Here are the rating for some of the greases mentioned from their Technical Data Sheets:
  • Bel-ray waterproof grease: 4.2 %
  • Lucas marine: 2.75 %
  • Lucas X-tra heavy duty: 10.0%
Also look at copper strip corrosion test (ASTM D4048), and useful temperature range - might have an impact for your brake application. Most marine grease sacrifices high-heat stability in favour of corrosion inhibition and water washout properties.

It sounds almost like Buzzy's Slick Honey, which is what pushbike mechanics use on the pivot points of full-suspension mountain bikes as well as suspension forks and rear shocks.

Here's the US TDS for that Bel-Ray stuff: http://www.belray.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Waterproof-Grease.pdf
No, nobody is using it in pivots, waterproof grease goes there
It's a seal grease
Same as slickoleum.

Yep, I have some of that green Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease in my garage. That's what most dirt bike guys use.
Bel ray is not an ep grease,
A better aluminum complex grease for linkage pivots and the steering stem bearings would be schaffers 274, contains ep additives (mos2)
Don't use either for the wheel bearings.
