Maybe from the standpoint of absolute heat transfer, but I wouldn't want to bet my cooling system's anti-corrosion integrity on that weak an inhibitor concentration. Everything I've read says don't go less than 35% antifreeze-coolant/65% water concentration. I don't care how good an improperly diluted working fluid's theoretical heat transfer abilities are, corroded metal is a compromised heat conductor that will soon cause more problems than you'd want to deal with by the side of the road on a hot day.

Although it may succesfully be used in other applications, I think Redline Water Wetter was originally intended for use in racing applications with water only. I believe that is why it has it's own corrosion inhibitor that seems to be at some conflict with some coolants. From all that I have read in the past it is not a wise habit to reduce automotive coolant concentrations below 35 to 40 percent in most(if not all)modern vehicles while following the recommended maintenance schedule. If you were to increase the flushing/coolant change frequency(change/flush more often) you might possibly be able to reduce the concentraton, but in the way most vehicles are used (daily drivers, extended maintenance intervals, expected durability, racing excluded)I am inclined to defer to the engineers recommendations and follow the owners manual. I will continue to use a 50% coolant for my region.

I thought of sending RLWW to use in my brother's Honda Accord, where he does a lot of driving in Sri Lanka in hot weather; However, after the recent "sludgy" incidents I decided against it. I think it's better to keep away from it at least until the "sludge" probldem is resolved.

The "diesel" version of Water Wetter (the one without its own corrosion inhibitor package) would be the one to try, then. Redline might consider some product description changes - relabling the "diesel" version as their "General" product (since extended life antifreeze/coolants with hydrated carboxylic acid salts for corrosion inhibition are quickly becoming the norm), and relabling the current general version as specifically suitable for "Racing" (since it's really intended for use with straight water).
