Wanted to share a good Amazon experience

Amazon decided on their own (no input from me) that the buyer should get a refund of the item and shipping and he does not have to return it. And they gave it to him. This seems like Amazon with their might is treating a small seller (like me) poorly.

Donald, Dude...it's people like you that would destroy the internet marketplace unless there was someone looking out for the buyers, like Amazon. Man up and do the right thing.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

It's not the buyer's fault you advertised one thing and shipped him another. It's your fault. Jeez, grow a pair.

You made a really major screw up, and the buyer would say you were treating them poorly by not making good on your mistake.

I've sold around 1,000 items online. Mistakes do happen, but this one could have been easily prevented. Double check items before you package them. You learned a lesson the hard way.

If you want to sell on Amazon you must follow their rules perfectly. At my store we sell about half of our books on amazon. Anytime we make a shipping mistake its a total loss. Even if USPS loses it. Full Refund to the customer. You must deliver exactly what they order in the condition described. Sometimes people are willing to return the wrong item, sometimes they won't and we can't do anything about it. The rules of the game do not stop us from playing. Everything just needs to be done perfectly to mitigate losses.

The reason why Amazon is such a popular place to buy things is due to their guarantee. It always favors the buyer over the seller.
