Walmart poor packaging

I had gotten a jug of oil and a couple bottles of Soft soap hand soap. Found a bag full of soapy mess on my porch. They just bundled it all in a bag and chucked it on my porch.
I bought an air filter from Amazon that was shipped in a brown paper envelope and the filter was smashed, so I returned it.
Wally World left an oil leaking cardboard box in my cement porch. They sent me a new jug of oil but would not touch the oil.
This happened more than once. Sheesh.

That would really upset me. So far I've been very fortunate with the condition of filters and fluids that are shipped. But in general, I have seen both Amazon and WM make some pretty poor decisions on packaging, in recent months. All in the name of increased profit.
I guess Amazon is not much better.
Back in the "virus" days, I'd ordered some things from Wal-Mart, one of them being a bottle of body wash. The package arrived and the bottle was missing about 1/4 of the liquid, was a mess, but...and this is really weird...it was packaged in a plastic bag so it wouldn't damage anything else in the shipment. Unless the bottle opened on the way to my house and they have some sort of spill-mitigation robot that intercepts the problem and wraps leaky bottles, I have to assume that someone at the warehouse either dropped the bottle, it opened, and they decided to bag it and ship it, or, they got it that way and decided to ship it anyway.
I got a replacement but one has to wonder.

Yeah, I wasn't going to say it, Walmart or Amazon, it happens and has happened to me too, a few times with both companies.
And it shows up on the clearance aisle at that store!
RA shipped me a trans filter in a box that was just a touch too small and the neck at the o-ring had poked through
Every shipping dept has brain trusts and ever since '20 we've just come to accept it. If you show up 50% of the time and can spell half your name, performance reviews rate you as "adequate"

My FedEx air filter delivery experience...
I HATE FedEx! I have a package shipped 2 day Monday, I got a notice saying my address / barcode was unreadable ( I'm sure as I bet the box once again is damages and FedEx is the reason it can't now read the box barcode) but my delivery day keeps being pushed back now showing I will get my package next Wednesday 9 days after shipment on a 2 day shipping order! and i'm 95% the box and product will be damaged.

Order a ball peen hammer - it will come in a big thick box - bubble wrapped - and then buried in foam peanuts
had two oil filters also shipped by Walmart thru Fedex. One filter was dented up pretty bad. I intended to return both but, I must have chosen on the app to only return one. the one I kept was ok for the most part. the filter box was beat to hell though. I think I'm done with buying from Walmart.com
