My local Walmart doesn't stock Ultra - just Platinum. I went online at Walmart.com and it said I could order it and pick it up at my local Walmart. So I ordered 10 quarts and I got an email back saying sorry but can't get it.

So I ordered it shipped to my house expecting the same email. Much to my surprise - I got two jugs today. Free shipping too. Go figure.

Good to hear you got some. I while back I tried to order many jugs of Ultra from a Walmart about 25 miles from me. Online said they had it in stock.

I ordered it and when I arrived they had mentioned that they didn't have it and that they refunded my money. I was ticked, there went a couple gallons of gas!

The Walmarts around here still have Ultra on the shelf.
We never did see the dirt cheap clearance pricing that other members found in some areas.
Apparently it moves in enough volume here to remain available.

I drove a good ammount to get some PU also. I wont be doing that again. I think the price of it and the fact that its way too hard to find, makes Pennzoil conventional so much more attractive for me. Im over and done with buying top tier ots oils for my trucks

Uh, fdcg27,

'Zactly which Walmart(s) are you referring to? The ones in the greater Cincy area have exactly zero Ultra.

I'm currently visiting relatives in central Illinois and picked up a 5-qt. Jug of PU at their local Walmart .

What is up with WM's illogical stocking policy on certain products?

The one near the Town Mall in Middletown has Ultra, the one in Miamiburg has Ultra and the one in Moraine has Ultra.

You can use the store locator on Pennzoil's web site to find the "Ultra locations"

I picked up another jug at a Wal-Mart in Fort Worth, TX last week for $26.97. They had probably 10 jugs of 5w30 in stock.

I always plan ahead for my next oil changes... I have 3 jugs of PU ready to go.

Gallons...

Just find a Pennzoil distributor in your area. The Pennzoil distributor in Phoenix has monthly specials on Ultra that beats the Walmart price and the added bonus of being in 1 quart bottles.

I'm gonna check this out. The Los Angeles distributor is next door to my job.

Get this, Dave, they are sure doing things strange in Canada. The "local" distributor here is only allowed to sell actual Shell products (i.e. Formula Shell, Rotella). The have a separate group of distributors up here (in this province one up north, and one a bit south of here) that are allowed to sell the Pennzoil and QS products.

Shell confirmed that PU has been discontinued by Walmart Canada some time ago and is not carried by Canadian Tire at all.
