Sad comment on current times. I buy my underware at Costco. I try to avoid shopping at Corprate Freeloaders.

For the record, I only go commando when wearing bicycle shorts.Don't need to bother the sales folks to unlock the case for some Fruit of the Looms. Going commando has it's advantages.

No. The delivery woman raped and pillaged the neighborhood. Robbed several houses, as one would expect from someone blasting rap music without regards to others sensibilities.

Come to think of it our Walmart (Bellingham) undies are not locked up I don't think. But there is a separate corner section with all sorts toiletries, cosmetics, etc. I think you have to pay at the register there.
Yes we do. And that needs to be repealed yesterday. The most that can happen is a trespassing citation.
Thread makes me want to check out the local Walmart to see what's locked up and what isn't.

Not my Walmart. In my state we lock up the criminals.
It's not just Wal*Mart. My sister works for a hospital, and she has to have surgery...which will be performed in the same building that she works in. Her own employer informed her that she qualifies for government assistance to help pay for the surgery... because of the salary that they pay her. I know about this since I'm covering her deductible/co-pay.
So I guess that some hospitals also qualify as 'corporate freeloaders' as well.
I get so tired of people who bash on Wal-Mart just because they're Wal-Mart and are an easy target.

The usual claims about this are very misleading. WM starting pay isn't bad for the job that it is - around here it's about $15/hour. A single person that works 30-40 hours a week does not qualify for aid like SNAP. This isn't a political statement, it's math and fact. If an employee is married, their spouse doesn't work, and they has 1, 2, 3, etc kids, yes, they qualify for SNAP. This isn't WM's fault (or any employer's fault) though. Is it the employer's responsibility to raise their pay based on marriage status, # of kids, etc ? For a family of 3, 4, and 5, their hourly wage would need to be $17+, $21, and $24 per hour.
Without sharing too much personal detail, what can you share ? Most hospitals, especially "not for profit" ones, always offer payment assistance. To my knowledge though, it's internal, not gov't assisted. I'm wondering if this is the case and not gov't money.
I can see how you would think I was bashing on Walmart. That was not really my intent.
I chose Walmart because many here seem to shop there.

People are just going to buy more and more online from now on
At one W*M that I frequent, so many products are locked up from OTC meds to baby lotion, baby bath formula etc. and products in the hardware section such as rattle can spray paints. In another W*M just across town, almost nothing is locked.
