A while back I got a qt of Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 for $1.50, I was happy. Well today guess what, I scored a 5qt jug for $3! Last one, so I was wondering, does Walmart still carry Pennzoil Ultra anywhere in South Texas? I would like to stock up.

For 3 dollars? you really can't get any oil besides bar and chain for that price anymore...

May be that 5-qt jug was on the shelf for several months, the manager wants to rid of it from inventory book so he basically gives it away. I'm surprise that no one in the Auto dept didn't grab it before you did. The price of 5-qt jug PU is about $27.xx here.

I have about 7 Walmarts in a 30 mile radius. Only one even carries the PU. You can go to Walmarts website and search for the oils for different stores to see which one carries what.

You better check that oil again.....it might be used oil that someone returned to Walmart in a PU container for a full refund.

That Walmart store might have found someone gullible to buy the old, used oil that they got "stuck" with, by one of their patrons.

I picked up a jug at a Walmart in Orlando last spring for $7 and change...5w30, SM, GF-4....and I immediately opened the cap and pour out some in a cup before I paid for it....just to make sure it was for real. The safety cap had never been broken and the oil looked fine. So that was a deal....it could have been intentionally marked down by one of the employees for pick up later.

Yes, this something I always check when buying oil. I loosen the cap and give it a sniff. I checked this bottle twice, then ran like [censored]!

I live in deep South Texas and have 6 Walmarts in about 15 miles.I have never seen a 5 qt bottle of Ultra and now as near as I can tell there are no qts either.
