Just a way to cram a big motor in a small car. The solution is....small motor with a turbo making more power, lighter, getting better mpgs.

That's one of the coolest cars I've seen in a long time. Wagon + V8 + that awesome exhaust note is a hell of a combination.
It's actually even less. I have the build data....95! I didn't even care b/c the sticks, while super cool and a much better trans for this car, was just too hard to find and this one is in great shape so auto it is!
Man that's a nice car, I'm not ever going to get tired of pics lol.
Thanks man. The sound is addicting. I just drive around to hear it. Hope it holds together. The auto does some suspect things sometimes and I'm going to have it in my trusted euro shop (who was worked on these before) for a thorough go-over and while it's there, will likely have them drain/fill the trans to see if that helps. It would look cooler lowered but the ride is so choice as it sits.....
That's a good looking car, the tint even moreso sets it off! VW's no matter which one will always have a place in my heart.

Why is it riding so high? Looks Alltrack style ride height.
That's the stock ride height - this has the sport package and the spring should be stock but I'm not the original owner. It's v. f. end heavy so maybe really beefy springs? I do note the f. dampers are not the VW stockers....it will get lowered soon enough...ahahah
Likely normal for the year made. Now cars are lower so they can sell more SUV/CUV's, many of which are no taller than the cars of yesteryear.
It's so radical. I love getting after it anywhere where there are people, the looks are priceless. Yesterday I came through a parking lot in a shopping center to go to the pet store. Younger guy in a 370Z with all sorts of things going on...IG handle sticker, Japanese lettering stickers, loud exhaust, etc. getting out of his car, just looking at me like *** as I rolled up. I park beside him, get out, and walk in like nothing is abnormal. AHAHAHAHAHAHA
