There's been some pretty somber news about VW lately. Glad to see this most recent update.

It's called negotiation tactics. Labor issues are but of VW's problems. The China market looms large, and not only for VW.

That and I think we will also see the EU change it's stance on EV requirements.

What is killing manufacturing in Germany, and Europe in general is the cost of electricity. That the auto industry was cajoled into moving to EV vehicles before the general public was willing is making the OEM's lose money on any EV.

Historically the German auto unions are very considerate of the need for car makers to be profitable, the unions are involved with the OEM's to know the balance sheet details as these numbers come in, not just the published data.
