VW Jetta 2002: Use or Replace Mopar ATF-4

About a month ago my Jetta 2002 automatic was contaminated with water due to a leak in the transmission fluid cooler. The garage refilled the transmission with Mopar ATF-4 Synthetic. The mechanic recommended changing the fluid in a month(now). I am in Mexico, more than an hour from a major city, Manzanillo.

My local automatic transmission repair garage recommends changing with Mopar ATF-4. Autozone in Manzanillo sells Valvoline MaxLife Multi Vehicle ATF and Quaker State Ultimate Synthetic Multi Vehicle ATF. Both seem to be G052162 compatible. Worst case, there is a VW agency that I'd like to avoid.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I think at this point it doesn't matter as the transmission is probably finished, the glue that holds the clutch plate material is weakened by the coolant and it wont be long before the clutches fail. Depending on how much coolant and how long it was in there will determine how long it might last, it might go a while or not long at all.
The question is do you put more money into a failing unit or not. Let them use what they want and prepare to replace the unit in the near future. Eliminate the radiator cooler by using an air to oil cooler on the next one.
