I know we have a bunch of VW drivers on BITOG, so here's my question:

On my '00 GTI 1.8T, I need to replace the braided vacuum hose that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold. Do VW parts dept's. sell this little hose by itself? If not, what could/should I use as a replacement?

Also, do any of you guys know the best way to remove the OEM hose clamps?

Thanks in advance,
wavinwayne

Bump......do any of you VW guys know the best way to remove the OEM VW one-time-use vacuum hose clamps?

Since no one else has reponded, I'll give it a wild guess.

For a 2000 VW GTI 1.8T w/AWW or AWD eng. codes.

OE braided vacuum hose(spec.4x3): VW part# N10196502...sold by the meter, shorten to 220mm

OE crimp clamp (spec.8-12): VW part# N0245281

The clamps must be cut off to be removed. Pointy wire snippers or 'dikes' work nicely.
