I searched and searched at all Autozones, Oreilly & walmart stores in my area for VSOT in vain.
Finally I went into a Autozone in the neighboring town. They also did not have it. Just then the store manager came up to me and asked me if I found all I needed. Well I told him I was looking for VSOT and there is none. He told me that he has stopped carrying that product (???) and that none are available. I then chided him to look in the back and maybe get me 1 bottle.
He went in the store-room and 5 minutes later, Lo and Behold! he came out with a bottle of VSOT.
I went over to the cashier/checkout register to pay. He scanned the bottle and it came out with a price of $0.00
He looked at me. I looked at him. He handed me the reciept for $0.00. I thanked him and left.
Wow! my first bottle of VSOT....for Free!!!!
I went ahead and poured it right into my Mazda6s V6 engine. It contained Mobil 1 5w-20 oil.
I drove about 7 miles and the engine certainly sounded lot smoother and NVH was definitely down at higher RPMs. This engine at lower RPM under 3500 was quiet to begin with. But now the higher range is also better.
Will keep posted about how it goes.
