Here in the U.S., VRP 5w-30 is the highest viscosity i see.
Would like to run a little higher viscosity in a 3.0L turbo, Volvo T6. While staying with VRP for cleaning. More specifically, I'm interested in a slightly higher HTHS more so than viscosity at 100C.
So, right, wrong or indifferent, I added 1 bottle of Schaeffer's Moly E.P. 132 to the sump which holds 8 qts.
My question is, will the Moly E.P. 132 increase HTHS my a measurable amount?
I could add 2 qts of 132 and be in the treatment range. 16oz to 4-5 qt. Sump.
Thoughts?
