GM is not perceived as a technology leader in the auto industry....at least, not by me. I recall how badly they damaged the diesel auto market back in the late 70s-early 80s with their 350 cu. in. diesel autos that were a disaster.
Too bad, in Europe, a large segment of personal autos are diesel, delivering 40 MPG routinely with power that would satisfy all but the hungriest HP junky. And, these cars last for 250,000 miles and longer.
Electric cars just don’t provide the range, reliability or performance we need here in the US. So, leave your electric car at the curb with the A/C on while you go into the store for a soda or cigs? Not likely.
Piston/electric? Where’s the economy and reduced emissions? Wait ‘til you have to dispose of those batteries with all their toxic metals……
Diesel cars?…….run ‘em on biodiesel like the French do….get 40 MPG or better….last for decades or longer…
GM?........keep your Volt..I'm not interested.
