Volkswagen Front Pads 5Q0698151AM

These fit a ton of VWs.

It looks like the original pads are 5Q0698151M and they are superseded to 5Q0698151AM.

Any one know what the difference is? Considering the rear brake debacle on newer ones, I'm not excited about a change.
