Virgin WIX 51410 hydraulic C+P

Been cleaning up my workbench and have had this sealed WIX 51410 hydraulic/fluid/hydrostatic filter sitting there. Also been itching to use my new filter cutter. So here it is.

This is the hydrostatic filter for the Sunstrand pump on my and many John Deere 316/318 tractors.

Filter looks good, no issues to report. Maybe pleats could be straighter. Looks like this is from the old-world WIX.

Like the filter, nice to see all components used in them. I have always used wix filters on my 149 Cub Cadet no problems hydro static
drive. plow snow, level dirt it is a work horse.

Nice filter. Our Napa just had their 2 day filter blowout event and I picked one of those up for the Wheel Horse. Got a decent lunch out of the deal too.

Yeah the media appears to be just standard cellulose. That makes sense since hydraulic fluid stays cleaner than motor oil. Still seems built well. I can understand the itch to chop to see how it ticks.
