This year the vinyl siding on the house has a lot of buildup of mold, dirt, etc. My pressure washer will not reach the second floor of the house but the regular car wash garden hose will. I have enough pressure. What can I set up on the regular hose to blast the siding with a cleaner, spray out cobwebs, etc. About 30' distance would be nice. I have the house pressure set to 55 PSI.

They sell telescoping extension wands for pressure washers. Some of the longer ones are expensive. But I'm willing to bet Home Depot rents the more expensive longer one's that you'll need. A garden hose will not have enough pressure for second story cleaning. Especially if you have mold.

After just washing one side of my house with a pressure washer, I would recommend spraying everything down with a water, dish soap, and Clorox before you wash the siding. Anecdotal evidence said it seemed to wash off easier.

Good advice. I did this when I cleaned the siding in my last house. I used a rotating brush on a telescoping wand to reach the upper level. Worked well.

I will try the Dawn with scrub brush extender, see what happens. Lot of people swear by "wet and forget", wonder how that would work after a rinse

Get a ladder and just spray it with Wet and Forget with a garden sprayer
Let it sit and you may get up to two years cleaning with it.
Of course if you have bee nest etc- clean that up with your garden hose first.

I treated my house- (mold and mildew) once and its perfect 2 years later
You don't wash it off

I used Wet and Forget at an old house on the roof to kill moss. I sold it shortly thereafter but in that timeframe it seemed to kill the moss better than my other method of using bleach.

Same exact situation. I got a telescopic brush and use that after soaking down the siding with a siding cleaner that you attach to your hose. While wet, scrub the best you can and then rinse it off. Works better than having to get out the water blaster, the long ladder and then clinging on to dear life when you pull the handle on the power washer. Much quicker and easier.

I use JoMax with bleach and water, Spray it on, let it sit 10 minutes, rinse off. Use the directions on the JoMax bottle.
