Silicone ADBV was pliable, pleats were uniform and media was intact. The 19 y.o. filter performed well and probably could have gone longer, but the package indicated that it was only rated for 7500 miles.

Suggestion: if you plan to use the tin snips technique to open the can, do it on a weaker unit like a Pure 1; this one was a real B and the old dykes worked better than the snips!

Is that a rubber gasket under bypass?
All OG Ultras used the leaf spring gasket built into the end cap. That's one reason it was so high efficiency, because whoever designed it knew that any internal leakage decreases the filter's efficiency.

Yes - I listed in the first post as Feb 28, 2006. I think my math is correct but please let me know of it's not.

When I bought this filter a few years ago (Walmart clearance shelf) I initially thought it was from 2016. However further investigation revealed that this model was discontinued around 2010. I'm just impressed that it still performed after 19 years! Maybe the cellophane wrapper contributed to its longevity?

Here is some more detail on the packaging.

And here is the OC post from a few days ago. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/post-your-latest-oil-change.108957/post-7333006

Probably didn't see it because in dark mode your post looks like this, so I just looked at photos, lol. Your last post looks normal in dark mode however.
