I'm looking for oil / filter recommendations for use in the winter.

Vehicle is a 01 Frontier Supercharged 3.3L V6 w/95k. It sees 95% highway use, about 3k per month. I'm using Napa Proselect Filters currently, with a 5k OCI. My current fill is Havoline Synthetic 10w30.

Would like to extend this to 7.5k, and want to stay on the thinner side of oils for winter startups, and I've noticed in the past that using thicker oils (GC, Rotella T Synthetic 5w40, etc) worsens fuel economy a bit.

Would Mobil 1 0w30 be a good choice for these winter months?

Excellent. The cold-temp numbers on Mobil 1 0w30 are outstanding!

A 7.5k drain on that oil, in the winter, would be about perfect on a S/C V-6.....

7.5k miles on a s/c engine may be pushing it a bit far especially this engine with only a 3.5 quart sump capacity, including filter. I'd stick with no longer than 5k or do an UOA to be sure if I can go longer.
