Very sunny parking spots - implications for paint

MKZman I don't think so??? I was living close to the water in San Diego for about a year.

I live in Everett near the sound now, where I was before going to San Diego. The area gets a fair amount of river water that dilutes it down.

So I feel more of it was the sun, maybe some pollution as well. More cars in San Diego than Everett.

Good paint prep is key to a long paint life.

Have you clayed your paint before? Try claying the paint to remove all the build up of old wax, road grime, acid rain, tar, sap etc etc.

Google "Optimum Car Wax". It is a spray wax and it has UV protection from the sun. I just bought a gallon and cant wait to see the UPS man next week.

You just spray it on and wipe off with a microfiber towel. Easy to do every time you wash the car for good layering and protection.

Check out autogeek.net. They carry a full line of Optimum products.
