Venting the heat out of the top of my arched exposed breezeway?

It may just be the angle of your photo, but I don't see any airflow opening to the ridge vent created by cutting out ~3" of the roof sheathing on both sides of the center ridge board as shown at the 4 minute mark of the video below.

Agreed, I don't any openings around the ridge board

Getting angry not sure why my pictures are getting rotated. Anyway outside can see ridge vents. As I stated inside is really narrow probably too narrow. I should have left larger gaps north and south where tongue and groove planking meets 6x10.

Anyway seems fan is doing the job and it’s only on low!

If the issue is you can no longer sit there in comfort on certain days a year - start looking at some evaporative coolers before you start cutting holes.
They are on wheels and can be put away the rest of the year …
Love mine …

This is probably the issue. The installation instructions for that roof vent product call for 1-5/8" slots on both sides of the ridge board

Kinda sorta. Good input, discussion.

There are no written instructions I see for a 5 3/8" (6") wide beam. Maximum slot is 3 1/4". I probably used the wrong roof vent! The roofing company didn't bark about it. That said, the OPEN roof as installed is in no danger IMHO, just a minor inconvenience and the fan works awesome.

The fan is what the doctor ordered keeps temps at least 10°F cooler

T-stat control is awesome in testing. Soon will have power up there and stat mounted
There's this website called only fans, they might be able to help you with your setup.

Lots of helpful advice, let me know how it goes.
