Valvoline vs Mobil 1

Not all engines are the same. I've seen engines with less than 100k killed by shat oil and relaxed service practices.

I still haven't seen any proof here that Valvoline beats Mobil 1.....and I really don't care.

I sometimes wonder why oil companies don't promote/push their High Mileage oils in commercials as they do their regular selling oils.

I can only speculate that it's a smaller market than regular oil.

Brand loyalty might also be a part of it. I wonder what percentage of people who use one particular brand of oil, switch brands when going to a High Mileage oil. I suspect if they can get a person to keep using their regular product, that person will continue to use their brand of High Mileage oil if they make the switch.

Then again it could also be something as simple as profit margins are higher on their non-High Mileage oils, so that's why they push them more.

Yup, agree 100%.

I find it entertaining though. Especially when the word "superior" is used based on few PPM difference in the add packs.
