I was looking at the MSDS for both of these products as I need to change the fluid in the rear end of my 1998 Ford Mustang GT.
Reading the MSDS for Valvoline SynPower 75W-90 was interesting in that...
1) It says it is a 100% semi-synthetic. How can that be when it is called "Full Synthetic Gear Oil"?
2) The flash point is 134ºC (273.2ºF).
3) Not sure how cold it will pour to.
The Mobil 1 75W-90 MSDS says...
1) Still pours at -46ºC (-50.8ºF).
2) The flash point is 175ºC (347ºF).
It sounds like Mobil 1 is a superior product.
Thoughts?
