That's the plan. This was more about not having to change the oil in the middle of January as 5000 miles will now get me through to Spring.

I don't think the "magic sauce" consists of metallic additives or Ester, so you won't see any of it show in a UOA.
Lube time vs Unit Mileage isn’t matching up.
Vehicle mileage increased 5k but Lube time is shown as 2.5k???
So much for UOA data trending, with the previous two reports being 5k and then this shortly thrown into the mix, but whatever.
Seems like everyone is scared to run this new oil for a proper OCI. Every report I see is cut short for whatever reason.

I just ran R&P 5w30 and changed around 2700 miles as like OP stated, it will be dead of winter here when 5K mile oci comes around. Will run this fill of R&P at least 5K miles and wil change and sample around April/May timeframeLube time vs Unit Mileage isn’t matching up.

I'll have a 5100 mile report from a Volvo by next week.
Wow, only dropped viscosity a little. I guess 4 to 5k miles should be doable.
