Is there existing Valvoline 0W-30? Maybe Euro?0W-30 for me!
I find it infinitely more convenient to order off walmart.com. Order two jugs and free shipping, never leave the house. I even subscribe for 15% additional discount then cancel after it arrives (it is within their terms and conditions to cancel the subscription at anytime).Did you notice any shortage of Valvoline Restore and Protect at your local Walmarts?
I just came back from a local store and they only had 0W-20 (5qt jugs) in a corner and 1qt bottle going for about $10.
Here is a picture. You cannot see any Valvoline Restore and Protect jugs because the 0W-20 was hiding on an opposite shelf next to Mobil 1 oils, interesting?!?
I didn't take a picture of the 1qt bottles, but they were plenty.
It is only sold in quart bottles, no jugsIs there existing Valvoline 0W-30? Maybe Euro?
I haven't seen any in Walmart though.
I check sometimes out the 1qt bottle section, but I'm almost sure I haven't seen it there. I'll double check next time.It is only sold in quart bottles, no jugs
I'll take a 5W-40 in a diesel spec please!I wish they made this in a 5w40. I prefer to run a thicker oil with my 254k mile Coyote F150.

(Walmart's online price stinks, because it is sold by a third party, not Walmart)

I still shop oil at the store.
I want to know how much GTL and Group IV/V is in Restore and ProtectSo it sounds like it's a very small % of "something" that gives Valvoline Restore and Protect it's unique cleaning ability.
“what’s in your engine is about 85% oil … but it’s the 1% or 2% of this additive or that in premium products like Valvoline Restore and Protect that really make the biggest difference,” says Dr. Warholic.
This is thanks to two proprietary technologies—“Active Clean” and “Liqui-Shield”—developed to not just slow down aging but bring back and maintain a factory-clean state with regular maintenance intervals.

Little ester other than borate esters (boron) and primarily group III, sometimes GTL.I want to know how much GTL and Group IV/V is in Restore and Protect
Definitely GTL to varying degrees, >30% I believe in all 3 current flavors sold in US per SDS; with 0w-20 having the highest GTL for the 0w rating most likely followed by 5w-20 slightly less % range and the 5w-30 had the least amount of GTL.Little ester other than borate esters (boron) and primarily group III, sometimes GTL.

I’d have no issue with the Mobil 1 top off if I didn’t have another Valvoline product on hand or Valvoline Restore and Protect.Quick question on topping Valvoline Restore and Protect off with another synthetic oil : I’m down about 1/2 qrt. (or a little more) and need to top off the oil to get me through to my next Valvoline Restore and Protect oil change … Any real degradation in Valvoline Restore and Protect’s cleaning ability if I were to add some left over 1/2 qrt. or so of new Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 I have on hand ?
Just doing the math, a 0.5 quart addition to a 5 quart sump (just guessing) is only 10%. So 90% Valvoline Restore and Protect remaining. You'll be fine.Quick question on topping Valvoline Restore and Protect off with another synthetic oil : I’m down about 1/2 qrt. Personally, I don’t like to mix oils. And honestly, I wouldn’t have a problem with an engine being half a quart low on oil until I was able to get it topped off.Quick question on topping Valvoline Restore and Protect off with another synthetic oil : I’m down about 1/2 qrt. The more I’ve learned from BITOG over the years is this: only mix when you’d be without oil otherwise. Short term fine. Long term not something to do regularly, playing backyard chemist and certainly it shortens the OCI to severe service.Personally, I don’t like to mix oils. In the grand scheme of things, it probably won’t hurt anything. But personally, it’s not something I would do.
