Valvoline Restore and Protect drawbacks?

Changed that oil and filter (oil was black and filter was heavy!), and put in the Valvoline Restore and Protect. Filter is the latest OEM version, purchased directly from Honda.

Did you cut open the filter to inspect?

I think if you got so much out you noticed the filter was heavier, then you probably are safe to run a full OCI, but an early filter change never hurt anyone, if you want to be safe.
