Valvoline R&P trending solidly at the 1.0 ppm wear metals per 1,000 Miles. Silicon was up a touch as I had local Mechanic repair a small oil leak around oil pressure switch. Fuel dilution is same as previous sample. A pinch higher than what it’s been in the past so I might try and find out why it’s hovering around 1.4-1.5%. Followed same routine in the past. Changed out oil filter at the ~3,200 mile mark and ran the final ~3,800 miles on a fresh oil filter. Topped off with 3/4 qt of R&P 5w-30. Used Purolator ONE oil filter on first 3,200 miles and finished with a MicroGard Select on the back half of the run. Really like the MicroGard Select oil filter. My new Go-To filter. Oil burn was same as last run of 1/2 quart over the first 5k miles. So total consumption of oil over entire 7k run was ~ 1.25 quarts (filter replacement and burn). I switched to Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage 0w-20 (4 QTs) and 5w-30 (1Qt) on my current run. Will sample to compare against VRP. Gas mpg seems slightly better with VEPHM.

Looks great! You're the xpert at 365k, but I think you could save time and just run the oil filter for the full, moderate, ocis that you are running on the oil. .02

Looos very good. Thank You

I’m honestly surprised you have one of these with that many miles. Bought an ‘08 Accord EX 2.4AT new. It turned out to be the worst vehicle I ever owned. 17 years later and it still holds that title. My Accord caused me to walk away from Honda after owning 4 of them. Just came back to the brand last month when I directed my mother into buying a CRV hybrid.

You’ve obviously gotten your money out of this one. Congrats.

Thanks Mantooth. Sorry to hear of the bad luck you experienced on your 08 Honda. Mine has been worry free. Replaced timing chain, guides, and tensioner at 220k. Power steering pump and that’s the extent of my heartache. Been very reliable. Gonna keep it past 425,000 miles then trade it in. Looking at a ‘26 Passport or a ‘26 Ridgeline (if they improve it like the Passport). Like the practicality and reliability of those and don’t want to get into Ford or Chevy midsize truck as I don’t trust their durability. This next one has to last 20 years trouble free.
