What oil weights are currently available for the premium blue restore oil sold by cummins? I currently see only one bottle weight as a photo for that line of oil on valvoline website.
Wondering if they have w40 or w50 weights.

It’s not for sale anymore, just version 2. It’s only in 10w30 because it was blended specifically for the ISX engines, which call for 10w30.

HPL’s oils will do the same things inside your engine that PBR does, and it’s actually available. It’s also US owned. 👍🏻

Not for sale anymore? Did they they use to sell it in other weights? If so do you remember what weights were available?

Final boss for my sludged up Dodge 5.2l will be hpl 30wt engine cleaner next spring as soon as it warms up.

Any luck finding the new or old stuff on line? Finding the Gen2 on a random ebay listing for $90. Gallon.

I want the old, clog your filter with sludge send your car to the graveyard and tar up your cancer lungs and kill the next generation of your kids “good stuff”. It sounds like the gen2 stuff might be 1/2 strength watered down version for guys who can’t change an oil filter in the first 1000miles of useage?

I always keep a stash.
My local Cummins dealer has VPB"Restore" 10w30, $79/gal. They have never heard of the Gen2 Restore.
I've been using a 20% mix of it in 3 of my ole gasoline powered daily drivers. Good stuff.

What makes you say that? I believe it’s the same as the “Gen 1” but this version has a CK-4 additive pack as the only difference.

It only comes in 10w30 and you can only buy it straight from Cummins. 79$ a gallon. I’m running it right now in my 04 Yukon Denali. On its second interval with it.

the Restore and protect oil is this, but in a not so aggressive blend.. According to Valvoline engineers a bad engine can take up to 4 oil changes to get it cleaned out.. It was determined to make it not so aggressive to prevent oil filter clogging up like happened early on with the more aggressive formula. It basically the Restore just less of the cleaning stuff..
good video visit to the valvoline lab

Since you shared the video you should have heard lake say the restore and protect formula is completely different than the premium blue restore.
