Valvoline NEXTGEN over already?????

Many Walmarts pulled this from the shelf 6 months ago. You could see all of the threads in the "Sales and Promotions" section when people were picking up discounted bottles that were still overpriced (considering the FAR deals).

You can still get it at major auto parts stores. It doesn't appear to be going anywhere now. In fact, many autoparts stores still have it for free (Advance).

It seems that NextGen is pretty much over and done for now. Most of the stores with any remaining stock are deep discounting it.

Valvoline tried to market a differentiated product through the "green" angle, but it simply didn't fly. The portion of the buying public which will go out of its way to "be green" is a small fraction, and very few of that group change their own motor oil.

The simple answer is to just blend some re refined oil into the production of conventionally marketed oils and not try to package, advertise and sell another whole line of products.
