valvoline nexgen oil in Hyundai Sonata

I just changed the oil in my 09 Sonata and used the Valvoline NexGen 5w20. When I went to pour it in the motor I noticed lots of tiny bubbles in the oil as it drained down the filter...maybe I am paranoid but is this ok? I am pretty sure its ok and I am being real paranoid but you guys can either tell me to drain that stuff out or reassure me...thanks BITOGers!

Happens all the time when I shake the oil before I pour it in.

ok sounds good...ive done hundreds of oil changes and never noticed air bubbles when pouring in the oil...I also just got a shorter funnel though and can see the oil in it better...i just want to make my car last a real long time and wanted to make sure it wasnt the Nexgen oil or something

Nope, just from shaking as SuperDave456 said. Random fact of the day: motor oil already contains recycled oil, they just aren't required to put it on the label.

You are freakin man! It is a fine oil, I'm using it right now in my Sonata. 5w30 though.

5W-20 is carbonated.

Be sure to test AFTER you installed the new oil, just check it on the dipstick if you see any bubbles AFTER a short drive then a long drive , you shouldnt see any bubbles .

Bubbles in oil is a no no , it causes shearing, the bubble you see is air in the oil.

I believe it will check out ok.

it did look fine after some driving...this is my third OC with Nexgen and everytime the oil comes out looking good so I confident in it unfortunately my stash is running lowI bought them with the 5.00 off at Wal-Mart a while back so I got them for around 10 Each not too bad.

Nextgen is great stuff. I wish we could convert all our regular conventional oil users to use this stuff to keep a great product going. However, many fail to understand that this is still great oil and that it shouldn't be cheaper because it is re-refined.

If you are looking into cheap changes with good or green oil, look into G-OIL which can usually be had for free near a major holiday after rebate. Unless your vehicle specifies 5w20, in which they should have that out soon.

I got 2 jugs of it one Free and one for 16 and the sonata can take 5w30 in hotter months...thanks for the tip!
