Valvoline MaxLife FullSyn - changed?

I saw that Ashland has new part numbers for their Full Syn Maxlife. The quart bottle used to be VV179, but their site now shows it as VV155.

Seeing this, I wrote them a note-

I use Maxlife Full Synthetic 5w30 in my 1995 GMC Sierra pickup (216,000 mi). The part number for the quart bottles has been VV179, but I see now that this item is listed as VV155.

Have there been product changes (particularly oil chemistry and performance) that caused the change in part number? I don't see any references to new approvals/certifications or other changes to the product, but I suspect the part number change is indicative of some substantial change to the product offering.

The latest MSDS on these is 11/12/09 wityh a print date of 2/22/2010.

It appears there are several numbers and they all seem to be the same oil....just different packaging. Example 6 1 qt's. Bilk, Walmart qt's a 5 qt jugs.
