Thanks a lot for this man

I like Valvoline too. But I like Pennzoil, Castrol, and Havoline too. I've used Valvoline in the past in my Ford Fusion. But I may well consider going back to Valvoline again at some point too. Really all main line products are at least good or very good.

I'm a big Valvoline fan as well, but Platinum for $14/jug at KMart was to hard to pass up.

You bought Hyundai's and their manuals recommend QS/Pennzoil which I think is a good thought too. Maybe Valvoline doesnt make a oil to your make model spec. Personally I think its a fine product, but until Valvoline Syn 5w30 becomes a5 honda hto6 spec I will stay with Sopus. I have called customer support at valvoline and it leaves something to be desired. Love redline tech Dave, just cant always spend 12 bucks a qt for oil but he knows his stuff.

Ahh yeah

$14 a five qt container is hard to turn down. Don't blame ya there. I went to my local k mart and it was just about empty.. Ohh well. Win some lose some.

Oddly enough, their new 'Oil Recommender' does not recommend Synthetic for the Sonata 2.4. The Santa Fe 2.0Turbo does list it as a choice though.

If you are using the oil in your signature for your 2013 Turbo and you have an appropriate engine problem, Hyundai can deny warranty coverage. M1 is fine but that viscosity is not on their list.

Rings and watches should be removed prior to any maintenance activity, regardless of the triviality of the task.

It looks pretty heavy duty whatever it is. BIG-O wide rubber strap.

Used the 0W40 at my last "free" maintenance plan oil change. Handed them the oil, watched them put it in. Their receipt says 'oil and filter change - customer supplied oil 5W30' as standard. Im good. The remainder of my stash does conform and capitulate to the Borg's will.

Yes, I noticed that about a week ago. Also oddly, their Synpower PDS is still the old one. It does not include the new 0w-40 Euro grade.

Found that interesting as well since I've seen that oil recently at Pep Boys.
