Valvoline Cash Back-$5

Panhandlers around here are going high tech.
Starting to see their signs with "hit my Venmo" and their addy.
People swipe thinking that they're giving $2, but it's actually $500 and it's 2 weeks until they figure it out. and rules covering debit cards are different from credit cards.
I think nascar is saying app transfer, not swipe. But I get what you say as well.

anyone who hasn't claimed their Valvo-rebate yet....set up your Venmo beforehand. I was dumb. thought that it would be no problem doing this without Venmo. The payment comes from a company called "Aisle."

I wound up creating $5 worth of hassle for myself. YMMV.

My claim has been a mess. I used PayPal and printed out my receipts from Walmart, submitted, and received confirmation and never received anything. (I had a receipt for online purchase of two jugs and another online receipt for four jugs. The receipts only have a bar code and dollar amount, no product description or quantity.

I contacted their email customer service and they said try again with an email link they provided and said to use screen shots that also shows the quantities and dollar amounts. I did so, and three days later I received $5 in my PayPal account.

I emailed them again last Friday, forwarding my previous submittal explaining being $25 short. I received an email back on Saturday asking for my phone number for verification so they could investigate further. Crickets since Saturday...

their rebate verification and processing is terrible, if you text them that you received the wrong amount, they fixed it for me, twice.

I will give them a couple more days before I try that. This is indeed a messed up system. Seem like it has a lot of potential for fraud, which may explain why they are so stingy and sticklers...

I have confirmed that you are 100% correct about being able to submit up to six orders, with a $30 rebate limit per order. I thought it was a $30 limit per email address, but you can potentially get up to $180 if each of your orders has 6 jugs. I would never have thought that was the case. Valvoline has the best system hands down.

I've heard it can be a decent income. It's completely legal in most states I think.
But you'd have to have a high tolerance for sheer boredom.

Panhandling via Venmo = IRS reporting once they hit $400, lol. and if they never file, IIRC that triggers withholding from money transmitters like Venmo.

So I send another email this past Tuesday asking for further follow up and crickets.

Today I called Valvoline customer service. Very helpful! They said the email I was sending to is the company that handles this rebate program. She said she would intervene and fix my shortage, asking that I forward the email thread to her directly with all the details.

I am expecting the rest of the rebate in a couple days. What a frustrating experience.... I think this might have worked better if I purchased each jug on a separate transaction and submitted individually. Might consider that next time.

sure if your requirement is low but with Valvoline Restore & Protect working so well, they should and will fully honor your rebate.

Now Mobil 1 rebate is practically useless for everyone...

I received $20 more...but still short $5, so I sent them another email to the customer service representative that has been assisting me.
Wish me luck...lol :)

So.....if I buy a 5 gallon box of OW-20 R&P on Amazon, that's good for a $20 rebate as the equivalent to four 5qt jugs?

correct, they paid for (11) 5 Gallon boxes for me, both Maxlife ATF and Valvoline R & P 0w20, just make sure to communicate and confirm through the text service, I did that before submitting my receipts, make sure to submit each box separately.

Much obliged.

My email from yesterday was acknowledged this morning that I will get the last rebate amount owed. Wow...what a frustrating hassle. Clearly this new method using text messages for entering the info is NOT worked out yet. I wonder if it ever will be? Is Mobil and Pennzoil using this method as well?

Not to sound daft. But what is the phone number for customer service? There were several listed online.
