This should hopefully work this time. Valvoline V0-88 from a 2013 Jeep Compass cut open. Unknown mileage also.

I finally got it, thanks Tegger for the info in "general questions". Here is a dime end shot with the code. Sorry for flash and not being a good picture taker

I have never seen a valvoline filter.. Heck I didn't know they even made them.. But if they made them like the first pic you had then they would be SUPER popular. And the best selling filter of all time. The second pics look pretty good. I wonder who makes the valvoline filter? The second pics not the first

I'd say that this filter is a Purolator.
Wide and uneven pleat spacing and plenty wavy.
No tears at the crimp, though.
I wonder whether this is what VIOC locations use?

Filter had around 5k on it from what the sticker on windshield. I grabbed a bunch from work even a few Parts Plus PH 500's.

BullWinkle, do the vioc places put a fl820s equivalent filter on your van or something different? Some places I have noticed have used a ph500 instead ;(

Ok, I think I have one of those in my "filter box" waitin to be cut open. I am surprised my el cheapo harbor freight cutter works so good;)

Zeeosix, what do you make of the "G014" date code on the dome end or anyone for that matter?
