I didn't notice any difference the first couple of tankfulls, but by the third I noticed a little quieter motor and about a 1% mpg gain.

The car still performs better on Amoco 93,though.

[sceintist/engineer] Can you really attribute a 1% difference to the gas? [/sceintist/engineer]

My car can vary 1-3 MPG from the same gas station and pump. Averaging 35 MPG, this is a 3-9% difference, while being driving the same.

V1, most pcms are only capable of pulling timing not adding it so there should be no "learning curve" for the pcm.

Should I expect to start seeing soot in the exhaust? So far none in 40,000 miles since new in my Mazda6.

I thought I read somewhere that Shells regular gas had 2 times the minimum detergants and with V-Power having 5 times. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the source of that info.

Also, Ethanol is an "oxygenator" so it reduces CO emissions. California requires ethanol in place of MTBE.
