Ive heard tons of things about the refill cans with stop leak that are really bad. I only ever fill with virgin R12 or 134a from original 30# containers, through known good gauges.

But this stuff looks like it might be OK for the system, given that it is a small dose, does not harden or gunk up the system (supposedly), etc.

Anyone use this? Any comments?

I'm old school, and think along the same lines as you. I don't think a sealer is going to work in an A/C system, especially under pressure. Sounds interesting, but I'd pass.

we use a sealer in home a/c systems, and have for aprox five years now with no ill effects. But like anything else you have to follow the instructions.

Most of the problems we see are with the new refrigerant R-410a, it works at much much higher pressures.

AC sealers are getting better. They can be viable now.
Use the latest technology.
It is always better to fix the leak, but you know that.
It gets expensive fast.

Red angel is a very effective A/C sealant.

That in mind, I have not seen any sealant that can fix a compressor shaft seal.

I have not used anything else.
