On Sept 14th I ordered a VCMuzzler for my Accord V6 and the seller shipped the very next day from Canada. Coming from Canada I figured it would take a little bit longer to get and I'm not really in a rush for it. Keep in mind that I live in northwest Indiana. Item was shipped the 15th and made it to Chicago on the 21st. Item sits in Chicago at a facility for almost 2 weeks with no movement, what the heck. Then yesterday on October 3rd item goes to another facility in Chicago. Why it would have to go to two facilities on Chicago is beyond me but, at least the package has moved. Now today the tracking information shows the the package is now in Indianapolis, Indiana. Really? Chicago is about an hour away from me and Indianapolis is about 2 1/2 hours south of me. Please tell me how this even makes since!

Well at least it's in the same state now. Think positive Daniel-son. If you do package arrive even faster.

It's funny, I've had no issues with the USPS until recently. A package from Amazon Prime seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Tracking status says it left a USPS facility 2 wks ago but no other update. I got my money back from Amazon but it's still strange.

You'll enjoy the VCMuzzler.

I assume it was on hold in customs in Chicago, but I figured it would have went from Chicago to my post office and not down to Indianapolis. Hopefully I'll get it in a few days.

If I send mail to the next town south of me 7 miles, it first goes 80 miles north to a sort then almost 200 south then back north to the town. If I want my mail to get anywhere south faster, even overnight I drive the 7 miles south.

Try again. There is a customs office in Chicago.

I'm currently having an issue with USPS...my daughter dropped a phone in one of their mail boxes to be shipped back to Verizon. The tracking number shows nothing, not even that they had received the package for shipment, and it's been almost 2 weeks now. If Verizon doesn't get this phone, I will be charge $700 for it. If the USPS lost it, I will not be paying for it, they will.

Yeah as others had said, the Chicago hold was almost definitely due to customs delays. Shipping to Indy instead of direct is because each office is serviced by a specific hub which I believe goes by state. So although in your case it seems little backwards, having one office serviced by multiple sorting hubs would probably cause too many problems.

Glad you got your package

So you had insurance for it?
OK it was their shipping box. As long as you have the shipping number you should be OK (I think)

I don't know if it was insured or not. The shipping label was a pre-paid one supplied by Verizon...we do have a tracking number, but in the past, I have had USPS try to claim they never received the package to begin with...I saw my daughter put it in their mail box, so they are responsible if they lost it...I'm not paying $700 for their mistake...
