OK, excellent. So, standard sized bearings, a street-friendly Comp camshaft and a Melling M55 oil pump w/60lb spring (standard volume/standard pressure).

No, that doesn't sound like that engine is built for 20w-50, lol.

436HP with no accessories, to the crank at 4,900RPM, am I reading that right? definitely not a high winder.
No. Its in a 65 Impala convertible. I wanted a nice driver. Yes on the dyno. There are many more pages I just took a picture of the cover sheet. It also has aluminum heads with the specs you saw. So I will switch to the 10/40. He is a old drag racer so maybe that is why he told me 20/50

Well you kind of need the cam specs to select the correct torque convertor, unless the builder picked one for you.

EDIT: rear end gear ratio would be nice to know also, but i'm guessing at a 3.31:1 or 3.55:1.
Hughs 2000 stall with shift kit and the rear is a factory 12 bolt 3:08 posi

Don't need break-in oil all the time. I'd look at High Performance Lubricants Bad Ass Racing oil 5w40. Or their CK-4 heavy duty 10w40.

I'm running their passenger car plus in my truck.

Sounds like a nice cruiser for sure.
Any quality HDEO 15W-40 off the shelf will be all you ever need.
