Here’s my attempt to use a specialized product called JB Bumper Weld to fix a cracked rear bumber on a 2009 Honda Pilot. In addition to the crack, the plastic was deformed a bit and needed a bit of leveling, using the JB as a flexible body filler. The finished product needed to be flexible as the bumber cladding.
It comes in a double syringe. It’s easy to mix and sets up in 15 minutes. The package says it’s ready to sand in 30 minutes but depends on humidity. I waited longer.
There is one thing they don’t tell you. The product out-gasses, so you need AT LEAST 24 hours before you prime and paint it. I found that the hard way and had to sand down the mini-bubbles in the paint and re-apply the primer and paint. It needs a course sandpaper like a 100 to shape it, then moving up to finishing it.
Here are some photos. Maybe some day, I'll blend that product edge better on the left side. Only Allah can make it perfect.
