Using 5w20 in 03 Neon

I just noticed that Dodge calls for 5w20 in the 2005 Neon but 5w30 in the 03. Can I use 5w20? Did they change the oil pump or something? Would I even notice a difference in mileage? I plan on keeping this car till the wheels fall off.

Well, I have already posted a question concerning 5w20 and gotten some great replies. From what I have heard there would not be any problem using the 5w20 in your vehicle. I really like what I see so far from the Motorcraft 5w20 Synthetic Blend. You will probably have other input but that is my take on it. Best of luck.

Sure. You'll probably see slightly better mileage.
