craigslist is great, I've bought 4 cars there and sold a couple too.
Also got free laying chickens and sold a rototiller there.
Only wierd experience was going to pick up the chickens, the guy's power was out, he had a miner's headlamp on, and opened the door to his dungeonesque house and said, "Are you heeeere for the chickens, come on iiiiiiiin?"
DOn't expect to get more than $75 or it won't move and make them handle the appliance dolly. Any "lowballing" should not be taken personally as it's hard to assign value to stuff... the "lowballers" while thrifty also have decent luck or they wouldn't be so persistent. (yes I lowball.)
I have a second "fridge", actually a fullsize freezer, that I found on the side of the road with a "free" sign stuck to it. It's great for sales and the electric bill barely notices it... really only $3 a month or so. I keep it in the basement where ambient temp is low. Make up for that by buying ice cream on sale.
You can keep the mold at bay by removing the doors and unplugging it... then you have oil storage!
Just wipe it down with clorox on a rag every 6 months or so.
